Kari Sjursen serves as the Elementary Gifted and Advanced Programming Specialist for the Marana Unified School District, where she also works to directly support gifted Kindergarten through 8th graders at Dove Mountain CSTEM K-8.  A Nationally Board Certified Teacher who has been teaching for 17 years, Kari holds an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Arizona and a M.Ed. in Teacher Development from Northern Arizona University. Passionate about providing professional growth opportunities for teachers that are in the best interest of students, Kari has presented at the NAGC Annual Conference and the AAGT Annual Conference on numerous occasions on topics related to gifted education, talent development, Problem Based Learning, and STEM education. In her free time, Kari can be found enjoying a good book.
