Dr. Andrea Durand DBH,LCSW is a seasoned mental health clinician and owner of Durand Healing and Wellness Center. Dr. Durand specializes in treating 2e children and adults along with specializing in complex trauma, neurodivergence, chronic pain/chronic health conditions, addiction, and SMI.
Dr. Durand also has a passion for education as she was a former professor at both ASU and GCU and assisted in writing curriculum for their social work and behavioral health programs. She has past experience with non-profits directing multiple grants as well as writing grants for the mental health community. Dr. Durand also has published research on chronic Pain and Long-Term Opiate use.
Dr. Durand developed a passion for serving the Gifted population after her children were identified as twice exceptional. Through this process she found the gifted community and has supported schools in the Deer Valley School District with education on 2e and how to support gifted students from a mental health lens.
Dr. Durand earned her bachelor’s in business and communication, a master’s in social work, and a doctorate in behavioral health all from Arizona State University. She is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical services provider, Neurofeedback Certified and EMDR trained.
