In 2015, inspired by a desire to positively impact her community, Almira co-founded Deer Valley Gifted Community, a parent organization within the Deer Valley Unified School District. The group partners with the District to ensure the needs of gifted children are met while also creating a supportive community for families to connect and share resources. Through this work, Almira has collaborated with teachers, administrators, and parents to elevate opportunities for gifted children within the district.
Almira earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College, majoring in Economics with a minor in Psychology, where she was also a two-time captain of the varsity tennis team. She began her career as a Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before earning her Juris Doctor degree from Notre Dame Law School. Outside of work, Almira enjoys spending time with her husband and three gifted sons, who continue to inspire and teach her every day.
