Alisa Johnson, M.Ed. (Arizona State University) is a gifted specialist in the Paradise Valley Unified School District in Phoenix, Arizona.  Alisa is also a consultant on integrating cultural studies into curricula planning as well as strategies for developing culturally responsive students and dynamic, culturally responsive learning classroom communities.  

Alisa presents at district professional development inservices and at state (Arizona Gifted and Talented) and national gifted conferences (National Association of Gifted and Talented) as well as the Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators.  Alisa has also presented at the NAGC National Symposium on Equity for Black and Brown Students, The NAGC Teacher Summit and NAGC National Conferences.  

She is a member of the NAGC LEAP initiative professional development writing team and co-authored an article in NAGC Gifted Child Today professional Journal (2024)
