Black Children’s Book Week
Black Children’s Book Week is a global celebration of Black children and the people who ensure Black children are represented in books and other children’s media. The week is administered by Black Baby Books, a platform that makes it easier to discover children’s books with Black characters.
We invite everyone to join us in our inaugural celebration: parents, guardians, authors, illustrators, publishers, educators, librarians, business people, community advocates, and other advocates for Black children. View the full Black Children’s Book Week Calendar here.
Considering our values, goals, and mission, we will be offering the attached programming as our contribution to the inaugural [and global] celebration of Black Children’s Book Week! Feel free to share our calendar of events and encourage families to participate in any way they can. We also ask that you share this groundbreaking initiative with any networks/groups/organizations who would like to get involved!
