Opportunity to Join NAGC Delegation to Oman in December 2025
The National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC) is excited to share a unique professional opportunity through the Citizen Ambassador Program, coordinated by Cultural Vistas. This international exchange initiative brings together professionals and thought leaders from around the world to foster collaboration, dialogue, and lasting partnerships.
From December 6–12, 2025, a distinguished delegation will travel to Muscat, Oman, to learn firsthand about the country’s groundbreaking efforts in gifted education. NAGC has partnered with this program in the past (under its former name, People-to-People) with successful delegations to Brazil and South America, and we are thrilled to continue this collaboration.
Why Oman?
Oman’s education system is undergoing a remarkable transformation guided by Oman Vision 2040, which emphasizes innovation, knowledge, and talent development. Gifted education plays a key role in this vision. One flagship initiative, the National Programme for Identifying Gifted Students (Tharwa), was launched in 2025 and already serves nearly 2,000 students across 31 schools in the Al Batinah North Governorate. Using holistic identification models and enrichment opportunities, this program reflects Oman’s growing commitment to nurturing gifted learners.
What the Delegation Will Explore
Delegates will engage with local leaders and educators through site visits, networking, and professional exchanges, focusing on:
-
National integration of gifted programs
-
Holistic identification models
-
Equity in access
-
Digital infrastructure for talent development
-
Professional preparation and capacity building
In return, U.S. delegates will share insights into current policies and practices in gifted education, creating a two-way exchange of ideas.
