Gifted Reads – Colin Seale’s New Book and Article About ‘Tangible Equity’
The energetic and passionate speaker and founder of ThinkLaw Colin Seale was recently featured on The74Million.org in a new Opinion article titled, ‘‘Tangible Equity’: Excelling at — and Then Dismantling — an Unfair System‘. This article is a stimulating look at why we need to not only support disadvantaged or underserved kids but also encourage them to question and ultimately destroy the systems that perpetuate those disadvantages and missed opportunities.
Tangible Equity is not an either/or challenge. Academic success must be present for Tangible Equity to exist. But as long as a child’s race, income, and zip code translate to requiring extraordinary levels of academic success to reach ordinary outcomes, academic success is not enough. We need academic success and educational justice.
