Strengthening Partnerships for Gifted Education at the AzABSE Teacher Leadership Summit
Building Connections to Better Support Gifted Learners Across Arizona
On June 17–18, AAGT had the opportunity to participate in the Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators (AzABSE) Teacher Leadership Summit, joining educators, school leaders, and community partners from across Arizona who are committed to strengthening educational opportunities for all students.
Our team enjoyed connecting with so many passionate educators and sharing the many resources AAGT offers to support gifted learners, their families, and the professionals who serve them.
During our breakout session, we explored three important topics:
- Building and sustaining parent groups that create meaningful partnerships with families.
- Understanding gifted identification in Arizona and strategies to help ensure students are recognized and supported.
- Introducing AAGT CommUnity, our new online platform designed to connect educators, families, advocates, and partners through discussions, resources, and collaboration.
One of the highlights of the summit was the opportunity to listen, learn, and build new relationships. Meaningful partnerships like these strengthen gifted education across Arizona by bringing together diverse perspectives, shared expertise, and a common commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.
Thank you to the Arizona Alliance of Black School Educators for hosting such an inspiring event and for your partnership. We look forward to continuing to collaborate in support of gifted learners throughout Arizona.
