Gideon • 12th Grade • Gilbert
Gideon made this 3′ x 5.5′ metal trellis in his second year Agricultural Engineering (welding) class at high school. The scroll work is made of 3/8″ rod of varying lengths and the frame is made from 1″ square 16 gauge tubing.
The trellis was commissioned by his mother for the front porch of their home. He has made a variety of projects during his two years of study and he has been able to watch his skills improve with experience. Gideon has enjoyed the hands-on creative building his welding classes have given him.
