Gifted students aren’t “fine on their own.” They need support, advocacy, and educators who understand their unique needs. That’s why the Arizona Association for Gifted & Talented (AAGT) exists—to serve not just families, but also the teachers, administrators, and professionals who play a vital role in shaping gifted education in our state.

This Arizona Gives Day, April 1st, we’re asking for your help to continue this mission.

What is Arizona Gives Day?

Arizona Gives Day is a statewide movement that brings Arizonans together for 24 hours of giving to support local nonprofits. It’s a chance to directly impact organizations like AAGT that are working to make a difference in our community.

Why Your Support Means The World

Gifted education presents unique challenges that often go unrecognized—not just for students, but for teachers, administrators, and families working to support them:

• Students face emotional and social struggles like perfectionism, anxiety, and disengagement when they aren’t challenged appropriately.
• Educators often lack the specialized training, resources, and professional development opportunities needed to effectively support gifted learners.
• Parents and caregivers struggle to find guidance, advocacy, and community while raising children with unique academic and emotional needs.

Without the right resources, gifted learners miss out on meaningful growth—and the educators who teach them are left without the support they need to do their best work.

How AAGT Makes a Difference

We support educators through scholarships like our Gifted Endorsement Scholarship:

“I am so grateful to have been chosen for the scholarship award. I have been teaching gifted students in Page, AZ for a year and a half. It’s been a bumpy road but so much fun. I believe that our students need the opportunity to grow as much and as quickly as they can. I hope to continue growing and learning as a gifted teacher as well.”
