… about the AAGT Annual Conference
Q.: Where is the conference schedule?
A.: There is a draft of the breakout session schedule available now. Please keep in mind this is a draft. There may still be a few changes. You can access that schedule by clicking here.
Q.: Will any day have a certain focus this year?
A.: There will be great sessions for every audience on every day of the conference. Wednesday will also have an Administrator Strand.
Q.: What meals are provided at the conference?
A.: Continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.
Q.: Does the conference center have wireless internet access?
A.: Yes, wi-fi is available in the public areas of the conference center, but not in the meeting rooms.
Q.: Is there a special hotel rate near the conference like last year?
A.: Yes, the Mainstay Suites will offer a discount rate again this year.

The AAGT Conference rate is $69.99.
Each room is a full suite with a chair, pull out couch and mini kitchen (full size refrigerator and microwave). They also have dishes, etc, in each suite. They serve a continental breakfast and have a gym as well as free high speed internet in each room.
Towneplace Suites by Marriott is also offering special AAGT Conference Rates, $69 for Studio Suites and $89 for Two Bedroom Suites. All rooms have Complimentary Breakfast, and Wireless High Speed Internet. There is also a Fitness Center and Heated Outdoor Pool, as well as a Complimentary 24 hour Guest Business Center.

Q.: Is there an evening session for parents this year?
A.: There will be sessions of interest to parents throughout the 3 days, but there will not be an evening session for parents at this conference. We will hold a separate Saturday Workshop for Parents of gifted students March 27th at ASU. Watch our website and AAGT eNews Brief for more information about this event. If you aren’t on our email list, please sign up now.
Q.: Will there be tables with Exhibitors as in the past?

… about Conference Registration
Q.: Can I register online if I’m using a Purchase Order?
A.: Yes. You can register online using a Purchase Order. Our online system allows you to pay with a credit card, indicate your purchase order, or indicate you will be paying with a check. If paying by check you will need to mail your email confirmation and check following submitting the online form.
Q.: My school district will pay for my registration, but not for my membership. Can I pay for my membership separately?
A.: Yes. You can pay for your membership separately. Just click on "Join" in the Quick Links to complete a memberhip application. Once you submit your application you will be qualified for the membership discount.
Q.: Our district can’t afford to send people for the 3-day conference. Can we send 3 teachers each one day at the 3-day registration price?
A.: Yes. You can send three different teachers on a 3-day conference registration. Online registration needs to be completed by one of the attendees, but in the Registration Type section select “Three Day Conference”. Spaces will appear for you to enter the name and email address of each teacher and which day they will attend.
… about the 2010 AAGT Annual Conference experience
Q.: I heard that some presenters handouts are on the AAGT website. Where are they?
A.: They are on the Presenters Handouts page.
Q.: I didn't get or I misplaced my Recertification Certificate. Can you send me one?
A: Please email officemanager@arizonagifted.org to request a certificate. Be sure to indicate which day(s) you need.
Q.: I didn't get an evaluation form. Is there one?
A.: Yes there is a link on the conference program, and conference participants will also be notified by email. We appreciate your feedback. It allows us to contintue to improve the conference each year.
