RSS Help

Instructions on using the RSS News Aggregator and AAGT Syndication features that are provided in AAGT Interactive.

RSS News Aggregators provide automatically updated collections of News. RSS Syndicates automatically send out the news from a site. AAGT Interactive does both.

AAGT Syndicate: You can see what this "Feed" or RSS or XML, looks like by clicking on the little icon below AAGT RSS Feed Syndicate in the left column of AAGT Interactive pages. Anyone in the world who has access to the internet can subscribe to AAGT's feed and be automatically updated when we post new material to our front page.

Drupal, which is the name of the program that is used by AAGT to provide AAGT Interactive, automatically produces what is called an RSS feed of all the items that we post to the Front Page of AAGT Interactive. Drupal will not pull in entries made more than 15 weeks ago, so if someone has a feed that we've subscribed to and the originating site hasn't freshened the content within the last 15 weeks, our Aggregator won't pull anything in from their feed.

Offsite RSS News Aggregator: The Offsite RSS News Aggregator, located in AAGT Interactive left column menu, is the other side of the Syndicate coin. Just like the RSS Reader on the "footer" at the bottom of AAGT Home, we can subscribe to RSS feeds from any on the internet that are likely to be of interest to AAGT. Please suggest to the AAGT Webmistress any feeds you come across when surfing the internet that might be useful for AAGT members.

As with any other offsite links, AAGT provides links to third parties as a service. AAGT is not responsible for nor does AAGT endorse other organizations unless expressly stated.
