Getting Started on AAGT Interactive - Creating Content
Submitted by Andromeda on Mon, 12/11/2006 - 12:29pm.AAGT Interactive is all about content. It was created with Drupal PHP Portal software. This makes it very easy to have a content packed and up to date website. The AAGT Interactive area contains many things but the ease of keeping the content current and relevant is of primary importance to most groups who decide to set one up.
After using the "create content" functions a few times, you will find it's much easier than it might seem at first.
We are temporarily posting a AAGT Interactive Beginners Help page which will open in a separate window, to make it easier to refer back and forth to, when you are first creating content.
Our Mission
Submitted by thedeed on Sun, 09/03/2006 - 5:51am.The mission of the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT) is to advocate for the diverse population of gifted children in the state of Arizona. We strive to accomplish that mission by disseminating information, supporting local parent groups, and encouraging the growth of quality programs for gifted children.
The voice for Arizona's Gifted & Talented
Submitted by thedeed on Sat, 09/02/2006 - 5:13pm.AAGT was formed in 1974 by a dedicated group of parents and teachers who saw the need for a unified voice to represent Arizona's gifted children. Our continuing challenge is to meet the needs of Arizona's gifted children with limited funds for their education and development.
AAGT provides the only voice in Arizona dedicated to providing the information and guidance necessary for parents, teachers, administrators and legislators to develop and support gifted education in our state.
Our advocacy takes many forms including an annual conference for parents and educators, a quarterly newsletter, scholarships for gifted students, an the most comprehensive resource guide for gifted children in Arizona. These benefits, and more, are available to members of AAGT.
